ICATT Apprenticeship Program Director Featured in Medill Reports Article

Earlier this year, Director of the ICATT Apprenticeship Program, Virginia Rounds, discussed with Medill Reports the benefits of apprenticeship programs such as the ICATT Apprenticeship Program for both companies and apprentices.

Now in its sixth year, the ICATT Apprenticeship Program is helping companies answer the question, ‘how can I find the skilled talent I need to grow?’

“Automation can only do so much, who’s going to fix these robots?” Rounds continued, “For the manufacturing industry to survive in the United States, we need a skilled workforce. And the people just aren’t coming from nowhere. You have to build them.”
